Ten and half year old SABRINA is a fifth grade
honors student
and has just completed her 6th year of skating. Sabrina has
successfully tested her pre-preliminary moves and freestyle test and
will test preliminary moves this fall. In the ice dance arena, Sabrina
has tested and passed the Dutch Waltz and the Canasta Tango. Sabrina is
proudly coached by professional Sue Rigney. With the help of Sue, they
have excelled this competition year working at the Beginner and
Pre-Preliminary levels and learning the importance of good
sportsmanship. Sabrina experienced a few outstanding accomplishments
this year which include an Outstanding Sportsmanship Award at Bay State
Games and she earned enough points during this competitive year to
qualify for a solo in the Skating Club of Amherst Skating Show. Sabrina
enjoyed competing in the Skating Club of Amherst, Lake Champlain Open,
Penguin Open, and Pittsfield Open Competitions this year.
Following in
her big sister's foot steps, ALISSA competed this year in the
Skating Club of Amherst, Lake Champlain Open, Little Sun Valley,
Greenfield, and Pittsfield Competitions. Alissa is currently working on
the Freestyle 2 level. Just like her sister; she also has set a high
level of skating standards for herself. Alissa’s outstanding
accomplishments during this competitive season include; three first place
finishes in the Lake Champlain Open at the Badge Level and qualifying for
a trio in the Skating Club of Amherst Skating Show. Alissa is 8 years old
and is in third grade. Alissa has been skating for four years and enjoys
working on her spiral, waltz jump and sit spin. Alissa is also proudly
coached by professional Sue Rigney.
When not
skating, Sabrina & Alissa enjoy Ballet and Tap classes. Alissa also
enjoys reading, singing, and playing School Teacher and Sabrina plays
trumpet in the school band. They both collect Cherished Teddies and
Snowbabies as a hobby.
